National Level Inter-Collegiate Management Fest

1. Introduction

The Department of Management Studies of Don Bosco College (Co-Ed), Yelagiri Hills successfully organized MEST-2K26, a National Level Inter-Collegiate Management Fest, on 10th February 2026. The fest was conducted with the aim of nurturing managerial skills, creativity, leadership qualities, and professional competency among students. The event served as a platform for students from various colleges to exhibit their talents, knowledge, and innovative ideas related to management and corporate practices.

The program commenced with an inaugural ceremony in the presence of dignitaries, faculty members, participants, and students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and active engagement throughout the day.

2. Objectives of the Fest

The major objectives of organizing MEST-2K26 were:

  • To enhance managerial and leadership skills among students.
     
  • To provide a competitive platform for students to showcase their talents and innovative ideas.
     
  • To promote knowledge sharing in the fields of Business, Marketing, Finance, and Human Resource Management.
     
  • To encourage teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
     
  • To create awareness about real-time corporate challenges and professional ethics.
     
  • To strengthen inter-collegiate relationships and academic collaboration.

3. Inaugural Function

The Inaugural Ceremony of MEST-2K26 – National Level Inter-Collegiate Management Fest began with a prayer seeking divine blessings. The gathering was welcomed by Dr. G. Murugan, Head of the Department of Management Studies, who highlighted the importance of management fests in developing leadership, innovation, and professional skills among students. He appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and encouraged participants to make the best use of the opportunity.

The fest was formally inaugurated in the presence of dignitaries, faculty members, and participants. The ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Asst. Prof. M. Arul Antony Rozario, who expressed gratitude to the Management, Principal, faculty members, sponsors, and participants for their support and contribution to the successful inauguration of MEST-2K26.

MEST-2K26 consisted of 10 events categorized as On-Stage and Off-Stage events.

Participants demonstrated exceptional creativity, analytical thinking, and managerial competence. Each event was conducted successfully under the supervision of faculty coordinators and student committees.

5. Participation Details

MEST-2K26 received an overwhelming response from various colleges.

7. Valediction Ceremony

The Valediction Ceremony marked the successful conclusion of MEST-2K26. The program began with the Welcome Address delivered by Asst. Prof. A. Arul Dass, who appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students from various colleges. He highlighted the importance of such academic events in nurturing creativity, confidence, teamwork, and managerial skills among students. He also congratulated the organizers and participants for their active involvement and dedication.

During the ceremony, winners of various events were awarded certificates, prizes, and trophies. The dignitaries appreciated the talent, innovation, and competitive spirit displayed by the participants. The valedictory session reflected the overall success and positive impact of the fest.

The program concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Asst. Prof. S. Jothika, Convenor of MEST-2K26, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Management, Principal, HOD, faculty members, judges, sponsors, participating colleges, student volunteers, and organizing committees for their immense support and cooperation in making MEST-2K26 a memorable and successful event.
